Compete is recruiting an Insights Analyst to join its’ Client Services team.  Compete is an entrepreneurial, fun, and rapidly growing company that provides business intelligence to Fortune 500 companies on how consumers use the Internet.  Our Insights Analyst position is exciting for individuals who want to combine their client relations and business skills with an analytical mindset. This individual will be responsible for performing data-driven analysis, contributing to insightful research reports for clients and managing client’s subscription deliverables.  You will also play a key role in monthly client deliveries by keeping up with the industry and online trends, QA'ing data and pulling insights based on the data and trends.  This role will evolve into a client facing role.  If you want to do something innovative in the big data industry, come meet with us.

What you'll be doing:

  • Maintain industry and online trends
  •  Analyze consumer marketing issues and business practices using large datasets of online behavior and survey  responses
  • Contribute to custom online research reports for clients that identify key online trends in their industries and  provide recommendations that lead to better business results
  • Drive creation of subscription data deliveries
  • Work closely with other team members and clients to define innovative products and services 
  • Help convert data into intelligence
  • Develop and publish blogs leveraging Compete analysis

What you need to have: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Economics or Research
  • Professional consulting or agency experience a plus (internships count)
  • Experience developing insights and telling a story by analyzing research
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Self motivated, pro-active, innovative with a strong entrepreneurial drive
  • Exceptional ability to manage one’s time, set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and fluid environment
  • Ability to work individually as well as contribute to a team
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; SPSS or Wincross skills a plus
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
