Scott Ernst
President
Scott is a veteran in online marketing with deep experience in advertising, digital media and Web technology and over 20 years of experience in sales, operations and management. Over the past decade, Scott has been working with world-class brands to help them improve their business performance through the online channel. With Compete, Scott oversees the company’s operations including sales, marketing, client services and engineering. Prior to joining Compete, Mr. Ernst served as Vice President of Sales, Corporate and Business Development for Personify, a web analytics and behavioral profiling software company. Previously, Scott was Vice President of Sales at AdKnowledge, a marketing software and interactive media management firm, which was later acquired by CMGI/Engage.
Scott received his BS in Marketing and Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Scott Centurino
Chief Operating Officer
Scott Centurino is a senior business and technology leader with nearly two decades of experience providing operational clarity and scale to rapidly evolving organizations at the intersection of software and services. He has overall responsibility for Compete’s core operational functions and oversees all Product efforts.
Prior to Compete, Scott served as Chief Executive Officer of social media analytics provider Crimson Hexagon, Inc. where he redefined company strategy to a SaaS-deployed enterprise software model with value-added services, simultaneously doubling revenue and streamlining sales operations. Previously, Scott has held roles as Chief Operating Officer (mobile messaging solutions, Inc.), Vice President of Product (matchmine LLC), and Vice President of Solutions Infrastructure (Burntsand Inc.).
Scott holds a S.B. in Computer Science and Engineering, and a Master of Engineering in Computer Science (Systems and Architecture Concentration), both from MIT.
Ryan Burke
Vice-President, Sales
Ryan has over 10 years of experience in digital media, research and sales. At Compete, Ryan manages vertical market sales, including research and competitive intelligence services relationships with Fortune 500 brands. Previously at Compete, Ryan was a Managing Director in the Telecommunications and Media Practice, helping to build it into the largest vertical within the company. As the founder of the practice, Ryan built and managed client relationships and partnerships with wireless and handset providers, MVNOs, online agents and companies offering bundled voice, wireless, data, internet and entertainment services. Ryan is a frequent speaker at industry conferences including CTIA, Mobile Internet World, Digital Hollywood and others. Prior to joining Compete, Ryan worked at digital strategy consulting firm Mainspring, where he helped to build the Media and Communications Practice. Prior to Mainspring, Ryan worked for Goldman Sachs in their private client services group.
Ryan holds a BA from Boston College.
Stephen DiMarco
Chief Marketing Officer
Stephen has more than twenty years of sales, marketing and strategy experience. He oversees Compete’s corporate and product marketing initiatives and is responsible for the company’s syndicated competitive intelligence services. In addition, he serves on the Kantar Media Digital Advisory Board and the WPP Digital Analytics Task Force.
Previously, Stephen was a co-founder of the internet consulting firm ZEFER, was part of the launch team for FX Networks, and managed consumer marketing for Comedy Central. His first job was at TVT Records where he helped Nine Inch Nails achieve its first platinum record.
Stephen holds a BS from Georgetown University and an MBA from Harvard Business
School.
Adam Guy
Vice President, Business Development
Adam oversees business development activities at Compete with heavy emphasis on mobile data and cross Kantar initiatives. He has been with Compete since 2004 and held various roles including Vice President of Client Services, General Manager of Automotive and General Manager of Telecommunications and Entertainment.
Prior to joining Compete, Adam worked at The Yankee Group, InfoTek Research, Strategis Group, and GTE (part of Verizon Communications). Adam has a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an MBA from
American University.
Lauren Moores
Vice President, Data & Research
Lauren has more than 25 years of experience in data strategy, science, creation and delivery. With Compete, Lauren leverages her extensive background in digital information services to oversee the company’s global data needs including science, acquisition, operations and solutions. Prior to joining Compete, Lauren directed content operations, integration and optimization services at OneSource Information Services and was an economist at DRI/McGraw Hill.
Lauren is a member of numerous industry organizations and committees, including the Advertising Research Foundation, the IAB Data Council, and the Web Analytics Association. Lauren has a Ph.D. in Economics from Brown University and a B.A. in Economics and French from Bucknell University.
Eric Richard
Vice President of Engineering
Eric runs Compete’s Engineering organization and is focused on building a world-class team that produces high quality, high value products for Compete’s customers. Eric manages both onshore and offshore teams and has focused on incorporating agile methodologies into Compete’s product development practices.
Eric is has been a leader in the Boston high-tech startup space for over 15 years. Eric was one of the founders of NetGenesis (IPO in 2000, subsequently acquired by SPSS), considered by many to be the pioneer of today's web analytics market. The success of NetGenesis, earned Eric recognition in 2001 as a finalist in the Ernst & Young New England Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. After NetGenesis was acquired, Eric played the role of Chief Architect at SPSS, helping bring together the diverse technology assets in the SPSS portfolio. Prior to joining Compete, Eric was VP of Engineering at Waltham-based Idiom Technologies, a globalization management company where he oversaw technology integration and product research and development.
In addition to his entrepreneurial accomplishments, Eric is a recognized leader in the Internet development industry. He is the principal author of "How to Build a Web site," the first technical resource guide for Web site developers, and he created and built the award-winning "Sports Information Service," the first sports resource site on the Web. Prior to NetGenesis, Eric worked at IBM's Almaden Research Center, where he developed handwriting recognition software.
